My Hair Troubles

A niggling bit of pilus background first. I had a Brazilian blowout in July, thinking it would help tame some frizz merely let me keep my natural wavy hair. Unfortunately my strands had an adverse reaction to the chemicals, and my hair started breaking off. It is slowly growing back, merely my pilus is however very brittle and feels rough. Particularly the elevation layer.

In an effort to distract myself from my sad brittle hair, I curled information technology. All the heat styling probably wreaked more havoc on my pilus, but at least the curls disguised the icky ends. I recently invested in some gorgeous hair extensions to be able to have long pilus while my natural hair grows out, but the pinnacle layer of breakage is even so very much visible.

About The Coco & Eve Hair Mask

Subsequently trying various methods (less heat styling, some masks, oils, dusting) I finally heard of the Coco & Eve pilus mask. It contains raw virgin coconut, fig, shea butter, linseed and Argan oil, and claims to rejuvenate and revive parched pilus, damaged by styling, rut, dyes and the surround. DING DING! That's my hair in a nutshell. I gave it a whirl to come across if it could help minimize my damage.

Before and After The Hair Mask

Later showering and shampooing, I slathered on this delicious-smelling mask, concentrating about of it on my ends and top layer of hair. A fiddling went a long mode – I probably only used about 1/4 cup of product. Since I take tape-in pilus extensions I don't similar to get oils or masks too close to my roots because the extensions could slide.

The mask comes with a costless and cute footling de-tangling brush, which I used to distribute the product to my ends with minimal breakage. I let the product marinate for about 25 minutes while I did other things effectually the house. Okay let's be real – I caught up on an episode of This Is United states.

After washing out the mask I noticed that it didn't weigh my hair down like other masks take. Yous know that oily feeling by your scalp? I had none of that. I accident dried information technology and found a surprising amount of book, smoothen, and bouncyness to my hair – in both my natural hair and extensions

My Thoughts on the Coco & Eve Pilus Mask

The earlier and after photos pretty much say information technology all. Look how much smoother and bouncier my hair looks! My colour fifty-fifty looks richer. I programme to use this mask 2 times a week to rehabilitate my hair and keep my extensions looking beautiful.

Would I recommend the Coco & Eve pilus mask? Admittedly.  It helps that the product is 100% vegan and cruelty free, and contains no icky ingredients (i.due east no parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or gluten). And Coco & Eve is officially PETA approved! You probably already know this, but sulfates cause peel irritation, strip pilus of naturally occurring oils and tin cause hair loss. Parabens are harmful chemical preservatives that go into many conditioners that have  carcinogenic effects. And Phthalates are plastic gelling agents used to enhance fragrances which can cause skin irritation. So I try to stay abroad from those.

As a final little tidbit, I'll tell you a secret. Coco & Eve leaves a underground hidden message at the bottom of the jar that contains discount code for your adjacent order. I definitely plan on finishing mine! I hope my discount code says something similar "yous are now a hair goddess" haha. So clever!

This pilus mask post is sponsored by Coco & Eve. As ever, all opinions are my ain! Thank you for supporting the brands that support Glass of Glam.
